Aeratis Lull & Porter Hinge Kit

The Aeratis Lull & Porter hinges will not rust and are made from zinc-alloy and are powder-coated black. The Lull & Porter hinges are essential in areas of historic significance.  Aeratis recommends using 3 pairs of hinges on ALL shutter types and sizes (4 pairs of hinges on 10' and taller shutters. This will stop shutters from warping and putting undue pressure and weight on the top or bottom hinge. We do not recommed replacing just one or two hinges on a pair of shutters. It is best to replace each of the hinges especaily if you currently have cast iron hinges that are rusting.

Each Aeratis Lull & Porter Style zinc-alloy hinge is installed by mortising into the edge of the shutter and the window casing. This hinge is designed to hold the shutter in the open position. Note: If this hinge is used with Aeratis Shutters, the shutter support and lag bolt must be used to receive Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Each Lull & Porter Hardware Kit includes a pair of aluminum scroll dogs, stainless-steel lag bolt and our patent pending scroll dog shutter support. The Scroll Dog is aluminum and all lag bolts are stainless-steel. The shutter support is placed over the lag bolt and adds additional support to your Custom Aeratis shutters. All scroll dogs and lag bolts are powder-coated black. Aeratis Shutter Dogs are gravity operated and if installed without over tightening they will function with gravity to keep your shutters in the open position.
